Tell us about your role here at Lotus.

My role at Lotus is primarily to skillfully craft each beautifully designed piece by hand. My most recent background is in fine jewelry repairs and I’m happy to be coming on board with that skill set under my belt. I’m so excited to be working on designs that will compliment the current line but also reflect my personality and style.

What inspires you as a designer?

Since childhood I have been fascinated by jewelry, body adornment, and self expression. I’m an avid collector of clothing, accessories, insects, bones, and various materials for creating. Some of my design inspiration comes from naturally occurring forms and patterns commonly found in plants and animals. I’ve always leaned towards organic shapes. I love the art nouveau period and how it compliments the female form.

What are some fun facts about yourself that you would love for people to know about you?

I am both a multi published model and photographer. On the weekends my favorite place to be is a unique outdoor location with other creatives making beautiful images. I love both sides of the camera! Most recently I have been collecting a local artists handmade headpieces for photography projects. My tallest one is about three feet, you really have to watch where you’re walking!
